Introducing the Community Law Corps
In October 2023, L.A. City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto announced the launch of Community Law Corps (“CLC”), a new initiative focused on improving the quality of life of L.A. neighborhoods.
Comprised of attorneys and legal professionals with experience in civil and criminal law, the CLC serves as a first point of contact for community stakeholders. This new division manages a variety of legal matters and collaborates with council offices, city departments, government agencies and law enforcement partners to identify and resolve challenging issues faced by many neighborhoods, such as blighted properties and chronic nuisance activity.
